World Water Day

On 22 March we celebrate World Water Day. Water, a simple word for the strangest substance on Earth. Water has no color, no odor, no taste. You consist for over 60% of water. Dr. Masuru Emoto claims that water lives and his findings are indeed remarkable. Viktor Schauberger is maybe the man who researched water most. His findings were so unbelievable that the American army brought him to the USA after “World War 2” for his knowledge.

The most remarkable thing is that although water is such a strange substance and the basis of all life, we consider it the most common thing on Earth. Although we die if we drink water what isn’t pure, we pollute it all over the world. Although we cannot live if we do not have enough of it, we spill it everywhere.

In all countries water is subsidized, making people believe that we have enough. In all countries growers are permitted to make wells and pump subterranean water from the soil without any restrictions, without paying for it. So everywhere in the world growers use 15 to 30 liter per tree per day (4 to 8 gallons). On one hectare grow approximately 2,500 vines, that means that one hectare of grapes uses 13,7 to 27,4 million liter of water per year (2,5 acres use 3,4 to 6,8 M gallons). How long will we continue this craziness?

In chapter “The food challenge” in “The Treesolution”, I try to demonstrate the challenges of this water spill. The danger of possible water shortage is probably bigger than the danger of the possible climate change. Stop the use of spilling drip irrigation and cover the world with trees are a few – and probably the best – solutions to raise underground water tables.

If the soil is covered with trees it will turn into a sponge. This way the water penetrates the soil and subterranean water levels rise. It’s about time that we understand how important this is. You can live three days without an iPhone. You can’t live three days without water. Make a choice to what you find important and act according to it!
