Green the world, support us!

If you want to support the objective of 'planting 2 billion hectares (5 B acres) before 2050' and are willing to help reforest Earth, you can start to do this locally. I already suggested you to send this column to friends, click the 'like' button or read my three-monthly newsletter. But you can go further and be practical supporting. Form maybe a group that plants trees. Or a group that defends trees from being cut. Or start a website, collect money and plant trees with it. Any form of activity that helps to reforest Earth, is good enough to be a Green Musketeer.

My own contribution is to develop a way of planting for once forested but nowadays eroded and dry areas. The man made deserts. This way of planting I call the Groasis Technology and my objective with it is to make the restoration of these areas into fertile, valuable and productive areas so cheap, that no one can resist the temptation to start planting again. For me it is not important the 'why' of ones inspiration. Maybe it is money? Making present wasted lands productive again is financially very interesting. Or maybe ones inspiration is to restore biodiversity? Create a living place for wildlife is a fantastic objective. Or maybe you just want a green neighbourhood? Each participants' dream – making money, restoring ecosystems or green up your street – will help the reforestation of Earth and create a better environment. So everybody is welcome to participate as a Green Musketeer. Here are some fantastic initiatives of people who believe in the reforestation of Earth and have taken initiatives. For me they are real Green Musketeers: http://www.treehugger.com/ and http://www.greenbeltmovement.org/

If you have any suggestion or want to show your initiatives, please react.

Let's green the world!
